best charge only smart BMS

Hey guys,

What do you think is the best charge only smart BMS for 12s application?

I found the Tiny BMS interesting but its quit expensive.
Also the Flexi BMS sounds like a great option

I am not quite interested in the Chinese LLT stuff.

Maybe the DieBieMS is an option? The LTT BMS is pretty good though

Flexi.
Period.

Oh? Why’s that?

My bad luck with it and the other 70% of us that owned one and failed randomly.
Just ask @glyphiks @EreTroN and others I can’t remember who. I personally don’t recommend diebies anymore unless the guy who made the group buy knows his stuff and chooses a good factory to make them… Mine from 2017 by @fedestanco on the other forum was shit. Was missing resistors and wrong components were installed.

Oh yes, so definitely flexi ftw

where can you buy the FlexiBMS?
i did not really found some useful sites.

I am quite new in electric skateboarding and heard so far not the best opinions of the LTT.

But which one did you use also for 12s?

Hard to get, hard to setup, pricy, big, but its smart i will give it that.

Also its not bypassed.

Flexibms or llt is way better imo.

I run the 12s on my main board, and I will on all upcoming boards

good thing dexter doesn’t use @diyelectricskateboard or you would get tagged on random stuff.

How’s that DieBieMS treating you by the way? Was it a difficult set up?

I’m like half way though and I’m kinda confused lol, I haven’t been able to sit down and focus on it for a while so every time I work on it I’m back where I started

Is the flexi bms also a open source bms?
So basically the ltt is preconfigurated and the flexi is one to tinker around?

You can program both of them, just the llt needs a programming box that’s less than 10$ to program more advanced stuff, or you can use the phone app to do basic stuff like voltage cutoffs etc
