She thinks you suck for taking her lunch money, bully!
I have awesome knee / shin pads if you need to borrow some
I don’t ride in darkness because my stupidity is glaringly bright
I have tow rope, air compressor, first aid etc.
I ride alone at night and I have a gift for screwing my self over in new and improbable ways , where I either walk home towing my board or walk home towing my board badly hurt. This reality is the sole reason I’m an on road rider, primarily . Being prepared is worthwhile
I’m not gonna rip hard because I’m a scaredy cat. Seen too many people with broken bones recently
@poastoast do you need to borrow knee pads?
Also I’ll take all the risks you guys are avoiding to balance the universe
ah, i should be ok, thank you though!

Recommendations for good esk8 trails to ride in and around San Jose please?
Los Gatos creek trail
Guadalupe parkway trail
Bay trail
They’re a bit slower, but run a decent length. I haven’t hit any off road trails except near the reservoir of Los Gatos creek
Coyote Creek Trail?
I think I’ve tried maybe once, but it didn’t stand out to me.
Parts of Guadalupe have gotten a bit sketchier near downtown San Jose so don’t stay too long there lol.
Nisene Marks in Soquel and the Calabazas BMX park are fun for eMTBs
Coyote Creek Trail was fantastic! I’ll post a ride vid eventually, but it was a perfect run - full of cuves, essentially empty the whole way, I only got lost once or twice. and it’s long! 23 miles RT.
I hit the weather window perfect - 70 degrees and sunny.
Only 2 things to note,
- it’s not a thane trail. The pavement is in bad shape. Fine for peneumies and no swallower holes.
- Whoever said the beginning of the trail (at the library) was a bit sketch was right. It’s not that bad, just homeless people. I was comfortable leaving the car there, but I didn’t know how to get to the trail from the parking lot, so I cut through a dirt path that looked like it was going about the right direction and I rode within a foot of these two guys who were squaring off to fight…
Just take the sidewalk along the street - the path starts right there.
Thanks for your recommendations!
Which side of coyote creek did you do? I’ve done the Milpitas side, but headed south it eventually gets cut off and doesn’t connect to San Jose. Headed north is kind of cool it passes the Amazon warehouse.
All Starbucks speed run when

right? This map brought to you by… Obviously Strava’s in bed with somebody.
Anybody like to ride dirt? I ride with 900-1200 Wh of batteries, average 40Wh/mi. 20 mile rides about 3-4hours. Not too fast because I prefer technical trails, messing around doing tricks and drops. East bay mostly. Del Valle and Pleasanton Ridge are my favorites because of the single track.
People I know don’t have the range to do longer trips. Hit me up if you want to do some exploring.
