Batwing Mini Remote

I love the mini remote but it didn’t have a batwing case, and now it does!

SKINNY WING MINI

FATWING MINI:

note (FATWING):

  1. the order of components going into the case from left to right is
    charge board
    battery
    battery
    mini remote PCB

  2. flip the switch on the mini remote to on and break the arm of the switch.

  3. use hot glue to glue in the charge board and the indicator PCB, everything else won’t move an mm because of the tolerance.

parts list:

103035 lipo (1 for the skinny wing, 2 for the fatwing)

Battery indicator (SMD version) X1

TP4056 charge board X1

Power Switch (12mm 5-6V latching version) X1

enjoy

This is a killer development.

Love it! Is that a little 2S BMS sandwiched between those batteries/cells??

It’s a 1s lipo charge board, i had 2 1100mah lipos laying around and they fit so why not😂

Wicked!

Wait, a power button?! explain!

So the original power switch felt like crap and I had a push button laying around, so I put the original switch to on position and broke it and connected the switch to the power wires.

Now I have a separate issue, there’s just not enough space for the power indicator unless I thicken the entire thing by 3-4mm. Also I still haven’t found a good placement for the USBC port, everything is wayy too tightly packed

Powers on but still have to sort out the indicator and the USB port placement.

first working Prototype!

Mini remote internals
Don’t need to reverse the potentiometer wires
2200mah battery
USB-C charge port
Battery level indicator
Clicky on off switch

You keeping them files secret or you going to share lol? Love the progress already.

Haven’t gotten response from the OG maker of batwing and I don’t want to post without his permission lol, don’t want any grievances.

But yeah I intend to make it public.

Any plans to make a more conventional puck version?

It’s going to be a Big puck then, because the PCB barely fits in this one as is😂
