Are those Lexan enclosures as sturdy/durable/long-lasting as their solid color counterparts?

Lexan is polycarbonate, same material as your prescription glasses and security windows in bank. They are very durable and virtually unbreakable but damn, they are expensive!!! https://www.eplastics.com/sheets/polycarbonate/machine-grade/custitem17/1.000

Crazy how the belt reverse itself and makes it impossible for the teeth to engage again

In video 2 are you demonstrating that the wheel can still spin freely, or showing that it gets stuck by the belt? It’s hard to tell

Probably as an option.

Wheel spun with some rubbing against smooth side of belt.

belt was intentionally scored at multiple location along the length to demonstrate belt breakage.
