My last two kgs of PETG have been Duramic brand from Amazon, and I’ve had no complaints. I’ve been using exclusively black, but it looks like they do have a clear version, as well as a handful of opaque colors.
The last kg came on a recycled cardboard spool which is nice too - less waste!
Since it looks like the highest point, maybe calculate how many layers it is and set the print at 100% for those number of layers? I think you can set the first X number of layers and last X number of layers to print at a different % than the rest.
That’s a good idea
Also check where your cooling fan is pointing, some printers have pretty terrible cooling despite powerful fans, just because the air isn’t going where it’s needed.
New filament dry box finished!
40mm grenade ammo box
holds up to four 1kg filament spools two abreast (depending on width, 140mm max per pair)
four ptfe tubes for independent feed directly to the printer without removing the spools from the box
independent rollers allow spools to feed with minimal friction
Still need to add a window so I can keep an eye on moisture and filament levels.
Or it might be a slicer issue, open your gcode file for that test cube in prusa’s gcode viewer and see if any of the features in the gcode line up with defects on the cube.
Next thing to check is your extruder gears. Is it possible the drive gear has moved and is slightly out of line? While you’re at it, the ptfe tube might warrant a replacing. Really make sure the filament path is clear and feeding consistently.
