Making progress … but slowly Because I barely understand how to use Solidworks
I kinda hit a roadblock as far as doing this the right way, I know what I want it to look like but I cant Figure out the darn buttons to make it look So
I think this project needs much more time Invested in it than maybe its worth idk…
it definitely needs to be a multi print part because of the foreseen odd Geometry to it which I cant even sketch correctly. Not all in one night atleast. any tips would be much appreciated
looks like I’m Accidentally doing something right… sort of…
gonna hit the sack for now. Modeling the entire thing is dumb when it needs to be a multipart print anyway. I have a interesting approach up my sleeve stay Tuned
Check out this fan
Delta PFB 06 48 ghe 60mm diameter 36mm thick, 48v
It is something crazy like 10k rpm.
It will be louder than the straight cut gears and have rather insane cfm flow and static pressure, but they can have their blades stall if restriction placed too closely behind, or in front of impeller.
Ive run a lot of Delta fans, 12 and 24v only though.
Their voltage range is about 8 to 15.5v on the 12’s. I use xl4015 voltage buckers to speed control them. Thousands if hours on them doing this.
Dual ball bearings. Do get the proper size finger grille for backside, but stand it off few extra MM with some o rings or lengths of small diameter hose.
They will chop off a fingertip.
Could you use the motors spinning to move air?
Like a piece of a prop sits above it with a side and back to funnel the air in? I’ll see if I can cad something to explain. Air goes out the top in reachers right😅?
What about drone parts for airflow? You can get 1kg+ of thrust on a 3 inch prop.
I was feeding it a 2s Lipo battery.
Maybe wasn’t full charge & maybe I’m underestimating what all four fans could do. But The idea behind my designs is always to overbuild it. So that hardware holds up unlike no other
I’m considering ordering one of those fans you recommended they look like a promising option.
Just Incase you weren’t aware the can has an internal fan that takes advantage of spinning. So it already has directional airflow and increases at higher rpm. You’d need something on the front to assist that process
