uhhh this board has little foccers… #justvescthings
Oh then this all makes perfect sense
Yah my suspicion is that the shaft collars that hold the links (one or both) may have been loose, which allowed the entire axle to turn, its very weird for sure
Did you make any changes to tour settings? Or it just went berzerk out of nowhere?
the shaft collars were stil tight.
the radius rods jam nuts were still tight.
it’s the main heim’s jam nut that was loose. allowing it to rotate around the axis of the spine.
that’s what i’m suspecting got the leverage to break things. less scientifically the bend directions in the radius rods appear to follow this twist.
only setting i know will do that is changing ppm control type to “current no reverse”
Yeah that makes sense too
It’s setup as current with smart reverse
red wheels look
For posterity, We determined it was a known bug in the receiver firmware. so Vesc gets a pass on this one.
Finally took her for a spin after about 3 months of not being on it. Rode great! Before starting my ride I was a bit annoyed to find that my MT12 remote receiver somehow unbinded itself, I had made sure it worked previously just testing it on the bench back in July when I had changed to the safe firmware (3.3.0). I already have had a bad taste in my mouth from this remote being problematic. So I picked up a brand new Hoyt puck I had laying around in my shop & binded it up for simplicity’s sake.
The ride was great though! I wasn’t riding it to hard due to my lack of riding time in the past months & also considering the heat right now in La is stupendous also considering how any sort of prolonged riding heats up the motors quite a bit.
I wish I had more battery lol
… Maybe li-ion is in my near future.
I’m Thinking of bringing that 20s6p to life that I made a mockup of.
I have a K weld & it would be the perfect excuse to use it.
p45b’s are still 4.85 so now would be the time to do it.
I know… I’ve had 150 cells in my cart for about a week now… I need ten upvotes on this & I’ll do it
I see I’m too late, I could’ve sold you an 18s6p lol.
@zero_ads I almost picked up Dakotas board from Az which had a 18s6p but I opted out. I just felt like why go lower in voltage…
We out here pushing all the limits lol
