How much does it weigh, including the square 22x22 adapter and the wheel adapter?
The quality is very high.
Does it only come with gear drive or will there be a belt drive version too?

What even are the advantages of this gear drive? All i can think is ‘more parts that can break’
I would have thought the biggest incentive to create a 2 stage drive would be higher ratios, but 12/68 - 1:5.6 really isn’t that high?

Yes, I’m just buying a 1/7 or 1/8 scale gearbox… A two-speed gearbox makes sense. They use plastic gears to keep noise, weight, and costs down. That’s why two gears are needed—to transmit the torque via plastic teeth.

At 10:1 we’re looking at inrunner levels of RPM.
That’s more niche. Might take a shot at an open source design but that shouldn’t be discussed in this thread.
Being able to run 5.6:1 with belt drive levels of clearance is cool. This drive is more complex than a 1 stage but still pretty damn simple.

One benefit to the two stage drive is the overall size is smaller which is nice to run anything with a kegel pattern. I gotta ask though, what does BistraDrive mean?
